Canon Rebel T1i was just officialy announced yesterday, March 25th, with an expected ship date of sometime in May 2009. I have just added it to the new Digital Rebel In Stock & Preorder Tracker. I have merged the older Rebel XSi tracker into the new Rebel Tracker. This is now the home of all current and future Canon Rebel releases. The latest release is quite the upgrade with the standout feature being the Full HD video recording feature. A very nice touch with which I am sure is to compete with the Nikon D90. Along with the video, the megapixels have been bumped from 12 to 15 as well as a 3.0 inch, scratch resistant LCD with LIVE Clear View technology. Under the hood is the DIGIC 4 image processor letting the Rebel share some of technology that is in the high-demand prosumer Canon 5D Mark II release.

If your last DSLR purchase was an earlier edition Rebel, this one is sure to generate the question of upgrading!

Amazon just launched preorders for the upcoming game The Beatles: Rock Band. With the release date of September 9th, 2009, all you Beatles and Rock Band fans better get in line now to reserve your copy.

Amazon has preorders across the board for the Game Only version as well as the Limited Edition Premium Bundle. I wonder how Limited these units are? Given there are so many Beatles fans out there, will they become collectors items at some point? I guess only time will tell.

I do not see a version available right now for the PS2, I wonder if they are even going to release one. It seems the PS2 version of Rock Band and Rock Band 2 has always been a limited release itself, why should this one be any different.

Update: I just read the official press release and sure enough there is not going to be a PS2 version. At least it is not mentioned within the press release. However, there will be a Guitar Bundle version which I have yet to find on Amazon, once I do, I will add it to the tracker.
