Kmart & Sears - Wii’s In Stock Early this Morning
UPDATE: I reactivated Kmart because units became available again! Keep trying! People are getting through; you just need to keep trying.
Indeed, Kmart had Wii’s in stock early this morning; 4:08 AM EST. As of right now, I have turned Kmart off because they continue to show inventory, however when checking out, one can not complete the transaction.
Around 6:48 AM EST Sears then proceeded to make inventory available as well. Since then it appears units have sold out. I will now turn Sears off in order to stop alerts.

Sears is the same way. They are failing at inventrory when you check out.

Sears is doing the same thing, I called them in hopes of getting one over the phone, they say it is an IT problem and they don’t have any in-stock.

Got Wii this AM from Sears after I got Twitter alert. Got e-mail confirmation from Sears already. Thank you. Removed myself from Twitter now.

KMART and SEARS are out. Suprised that Sears “actually” sold any. Got on as soon as I got alert…….and added to cart. Couldn’t get past after credit card info was entered.

Got the email right at 6:48 a.m., jumped over to Sears and got my order in. The site was, as expected, a little slow, but I also got a confirmation mail. Here’s to hoping they don’t just send those out blindly!

Missed out on the Kmart one this morning just after I had finally signed up to get Twitter alert. Went back to sleep and was woken up by my phone Twitter alert and I was able to get one from Sears. Got my email confirmation from Sears. I am happy happy happy. I was getting email alerts but always read them when it was too late. The Twitter alert is awesome. Thank you for this service.

Keep Trying!! I just got thru on the Kmart site!!! It took a couple tries (where at the final checkout they said there were none in stock). On the fourth try (between Kmart and Sears) I got through! How exciting!!! GOOD LUCK!!!!

Make sure that you have all of your details entered in the each store prior. Set up accounts at each store, enter all shipping details, credit card details, etc. Then when you get an alert, add to cart and buy!

I just called and talked to a rep at K-Mart.com They had 200 units earlier this morning, but they are no longer available. K-Mart.com does not use a real time system. The product still shows in stock, but will update at midnight. The stock is checked once you proceed to checkout, of course then it fails because none are available.

Kmart kept showing out of stock at the checkout screen, after 5 refreshes, I got one and got the email confirmation. Thank’s a bunch!

I received a couple of reject notices, but kept trying. Finally got through all the way to checkout and received my confirmation back from K-mart. Great site and service that you are providing. It is too bad that this is necessary to buy a product that everyone wants.

I had the same problem with sears, i went through the whole checkout process only to be told at the end that they were not in stoc, and the website still shows them as being in stock. What a scam

Got one from Kmart this morning @ 8:08am (central). It was a little frustrating. I made it all the way to the process order page, and kept getting a ‘failed on inventory’ error. After about 7 attempts, it finally processed. Got email confirmation, will be delivered on 2/19!

I just got one through Kmart!! I had to put it in my cart about 20 different times, but it finally went through. I got the confirmation e-mail from them that it went through so KEEP trying!! Thank you for creating this service!!!

Strange experience with Kmart.com. I didn’t get the text until 8am, went immediately to the site, got all the way through “process order” only to get the inventory unavailable message. I left the page open and hit process order several more times with the same result. Moved on to other things but 20 min later clicked the process order button once more and to my surprise got order confimation. Got the email confirmation a couple of minutes later.

I tried quite a bit on Kmart and Sears…they REALLY need to get their act together…says “In Stock”, but it fails on inventory (like others said). At one point, I made it to the “Finalize order” screen on K-Mart’s page, and it displayed “Number requested: 1″ “Number in stock: 0″. Gee, nice getting my hopes up yet again…

I did a quick check on recent completed transactions on eBay for $249.00 console w/included 5 sports game and the lowest selling prices was around $325.00. However, all of the consoles had a S&H cost of about $40.00. Nice way for them to add in more profit to themselves. Makes you wonder how many of the Wiis sold today by KMart and Sears will go to this vipers for sale next week on eBay?

Placed order around 9:15 (est). I added all my credit card info into Kmart site and just kept adding to cart/proceed to checkout….probably about 20 times. It finally took.

I got my first alert at 6:25 (est) for Sears…missed that one. Second alert (KMart) at 9:01 (est) and tried for 15 minutes non-stop.

Same thing for me @ Kmart. Said that it was out of stock after the cc information, I hit proceed a couple of times and then it went through. No confirmation mail yet though. Also had a call from their security dep’t and called them back. Still waiting for an email that will confirm the date. Somewhat afraid that they oversold and I will end up with nothing. Anybody else got an email that had to call first? If so, how long did it take to get the email with the shipping date?

I purchased at ealier this morning. I also received a phone call, and it sounded strange so I asked to call back. They wanted to confirm what I purchased and my addresss. Told me I should be getting an email with shipping date. The order on their website doesn’t have a tracking number, and the woman on the phone said the order was “being processed.” We’ll see what happens.

I got the text at 3am Pacific time and had no problems adding a wii to the cart at sears.com checkout was smooth and it seemed like not many people were on the website. Surprised how fast the web page loads.

Amazingly enough I got one off the Sears site…I can’t believe it! In fact, I will keep on not believing it until it arrives on my doorstep tomorrow!
USE TWITTER, and set your cellphone on your nightstand next to your bed. Leave your computer ON at night (with NowInStock website open), so when your phone goes off, and you run to the computer, you can quickly do the refresh on the the NowInStock page and click the link.
The advice of already having a useraccount created on the store sites is a great idea. BTW, as of this time, Costco.com has bundles available for $439~

I didn’t get a call from Kmart security, just an email with an order confirmation number. It says I will get another email when it ships, which has not happened yet. They did ding my credit card already, so I’m assuming I have a Wii on the way.

Has anyone who got a confirmation e-mail from Kmart or Sears received a shipping notice yet? My credit card says the charge is “pending” so I guess that’s a good sign. I’ll be worried until it says it’s shipped.

Woke up thursday morning to see that I had received an alert that kmart had the Wii however I was too late but just as I was about to log off, decided to check this great website and noticed that Sears had them and I managed to get one…SOOOO HAPPPPYYYY finally…Already purchased guitar hero 3 and mario galaxy…looking foward to MLB 2K8

Successfully ordered from Sears on 2/14, straight through check-out. Credit card showed the reserve shortly thereafter. Received a “Your order has shipped” e-mail on the evening of 2/15, though with no tracking number.
Have been in correspondence with customer service, but we seem to be getting some kind of runaround. The arrival date of 2/19 has now somehow become the “shipping date.” I’m beginning to wonder if this is a deeper IT issue involving phantom Wii’s. Anyone else having this experience?

Mine arrived today. Interestingly enough it never showed up on Kmart’s order status link when I checked and it just posted to my cc today as well. Not complaining though. Thank you for this site. Within two days of signing up I managed to get mine.

Mine was on my doorstep today as well (and we are in the middle of a huge snow storm). I wasn’t 100% sure it was really coming, but am relieved. I was with this site for 3 days and the twitter alert saved me! Wow, thanks for such a great time-saving service.

Jake - I’m actually going through the exact same thing. I opted for the “Expedited” option, which I thought would get it shipped the same day.
I received my “shipped” email, and credit card has been charged since the 14th. From reading other responses, it looks like the 19th will be the delivery date…guess I’ll just wait and see tomorrow

I must be the unluckiest person when it comes to this. On V-day I woke up at 8:15am for class and i see sears has them in stock from another tracking website. I go there and everytime i tried to put it in the cart it said item not available. Very frustrating. So when i got back from my classes at 12:30pm i tried again and everytime i clicked the add to cart option it would just refresh the screen. i guess imma have to keep trying but i doubt there will be another site with them in stock for a while. my bday is in 3 weeks and i’m hoping i can buy one before then

For those dealing with the Sears - no tracking number issue:
I contacted Sears, and the person I talked to said that they are reorganizing the tracking numbers for their shipments, and that’s why it’s not appearing in their system. For the orders shipped on the 15th, the package will arrive either today (19th) or tomorrow.
UPS offers a “track by reference”, but the person I talked to at Sears said that she don’t know what goes on the reference portion of the shipping label, or how to obtain one.
Orders placed on the 14th WERE shipped the 15th, that much she knew…so, it’s on the way! Just have to wait.

As with several of you I placed an order with Sears.com on Feb. 14. I got an order confirmation at the time and a shipping notice on the 16th. However no tracking number and still no Wii. I’ve talked with Sears customer service 3 times and each time I get a different ship date and no tracking number. Is anyone else having this problem? I’m beginning to think I am in backorder hell.

I had received mine on the 21st - no tracking number or anything, but my card was charged. In talking with Sears, they said that their tracking system has been down for several weeks, and that they were unable to grab tracking numbers. The lady I talked to was unable to provide ANY information as to tracking down the package.
I’m never ordering from Sears website ever again!
