Will Zhu Zhu Pets be the hottest item of the upcoming holiday season? These fury little robotic hamsters have taken test markets by storm and are already commanding exorbitant prices on Amazon via 3rd-party resellers. Stock has yet to fully hit the shelves at the major retailers yet, but what was distributed to the Phoenix, Arizona areas earlier this summer as a test market proved that the product was clearly in high demand with inventories flying off the shelves. I heard a rumor that they have stopped production due to inability to produce. Don’t know if it is true or not but I noticed on the TRU site that the pre-order 3 pack is out of stock and the new hamsters that were supposed to hit the shelves now or very soon have been completely removed from the TRU website (ie. Jilly the Pink one, The black and white one etc) Can anyone confirm or negate this rumor?

Check it out. Someone emailed the manufacturer about the pink hamster and got this response:
“We are working on getting the 4 new characters (Jilly, Winkie, Scoodles, and Nugget) out in December! Other new items such as the hamster babies, new vehicles, and hamster outfits will not be released until spring 2010.”

Wow! This is a really good website! I already have Num Nums the grey hamster and the fantastic car and garage. I got these items from a small Argos. The prices really vary in some stores. my zhuzhu was £10 and my car and garage for £14:99 not bad eh? I want the hamster blanket and carrier but i dont know where to get it! Can u help me? Thank you!

You seem to be looking for a place to buy in the UK. Well, I have just opened a UK tracker for Zhu Zhu (Go Go) Pets. In order to get alerts for this tracker, you will need to register for a FREE account and add alerts for the items you want. Want the adventure ball and skateboard really bad, walmart sold out of the adventure ball in 3 minutes when they get it instock on the website! Dang, oh well, LOVE THIS WEBSITE! Works so well! I am currently on my computer and 2 alerts that num nums and squiggles went off. I immediately click the link to buy and the walmart site says it is out of stock online. I continue to see the alerts in green on my desktop alert but walmart says they are sold out? What is wrong?

I know it can be frustrating, especially when you just received the alert, however this is dependent on a variety of variables. The first variable to recognize is that there are thousands of other people trying to get the same item. The second variable is the amount of stock available for purchase at that specific time. If we combine just those two, we can end up with limited stock and hundreds of people, just like you, buying all the limited stock. The third variable is the refresh time of the Desktop Alerts application. Currently, the DA app updates every minute with my server. If you happen to be on the tail end of the update, meaning your installed application updated just prior to inventory being shown in stock, then right after stock is shown available, you are now behind and stock could already be sold out. This is especially true with limited inventory. I know this sounds really bad, but in the future it can work the opposite where you are on the front end and stock will be available. The best thing I can tell you is to hang in there! Remember, you are essentially looking for a needle in a haystack and NowInStock.net is trying to guide you in the right direction as quickly as possible. Sometimes we will not be quick enough for you, and other times we will be more than quick enough and you will get your item. The site has worked in the past with a lot of other products and continues to work really well, but there is no way to guarantee results.

Julie, I know it may seem like stock is non-existent, and that is because it is very, very limited. Walmart is having stock, but extremely small amounts. Toys R Us was strong a few weeks back but has lagged since. eToys has had inventory, but a little over priced compared to the aforementioned. And Target and Amazon haven’t seemed to be offering anything. With that said, you can get stock at Walmart when my alerts go out, but it becomes more about luck and persistence though. Stay on the page at Walmart and refresh it, you might just see it pop up as in stock. Got to love floating stock!

Please notify me when Zhu Zhu Pets and their accessories are available. I can’t find these at Target, Walmart, or Toys R Us. They sure are SOLD OUT fast! My 5 year old was asking me about it lol. I hope that I could get it for her this Christmas.

This site is so cool. I set it up, & not more than about 10 minutes later it went off when I was in the other room. I ran to it & immediately was able to order the Zhu Zhu Hamster 3 pack for my 6 yr. old daughter’s Christmas for $34.99. Woo-hoo! You Rock!!!
