LEGO is offering three 2012 Advent Calendars for those of you out there looking to surprise your youngsters with a little pre-holiday fun leading up to Christmas. Each LEGO Advent Calendar comes with 24 gifts from which your little ones can use in their own LEGO scenes to create a story all their own. Some of the gifts are repeats while others are exclusive to each advent calendar. Below are the gift set images for each calendar. Of the three advent calendars, LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar (9509) will more than likely be the most popular. But, selling at the MSRP of $49.99, this might hinder the popularity of the item. At time of this post writing, Amazon is selling the Star Wars Advent Calendar for $39.99, which is $10 off MSRP, while the remaining stores we track for this item, Walmart and Toys R Us, are selling the unit for MSRP.

The LEGO City Advent Calendar (4428) is slightly cheaper selling with a MSRP of $39.99. This item can be purchased for $31.99 right now at Amazon, while still selling for MSRP at Toys R Us and Walmart.

The last of the sets is the LEGO Friends Advent Calendar 2012 (3316). This set is rumored to have been cancelled during the production phase which means availability will be limited. This is clearly evident based on the fact that the calendar appears to not even be available here in the USA unless you go through a third-party seller. There is plenty of inventory available in the UK for £19.99 or less. Both Amazon UK and LEGO Shop UK have the LEGO Friends Advent Calendar available for the price of £19.99 or less.
