Word on the street is Nintendo 3DS is highly anticipated, and pre-ordering may be the wisest option. However, given that the launch date is at the end of March and not near Christmas, inventory MIGHT hang around. Unfortunately, only time will reveal the popularity of the 3DS.

This past week we had some serious stock arrive. Thank you to all of those users that have subscribed and continue to promote NowInStock.net. We try our damnedest to make sure that everyone of our subscribers gets what they are looking for in a timely manner, but of course this is also dictated by the retailers and their inventories.
As suspected last week, Kinect stock is diminishing rapidly… even the Kinect bundles are going fast. This past Friday though, we saw a really nice unbundled Kinect offering from Amazon and really hope this trend continues this Friday. Why this Friday… well from our collected data, it appears that there is another shipment expected to arrive from Microsoft to the Amazon warehouses this Friday. Last week, the 250GB Xbox Kinect Bundle was available for preorder from Amazon with an expected shipment on December 11th, then another shipment was noted a day later for release on December 12th. From this, we could infer that sometime later this week we can expect some form of shipment from Microsoft… could there be more Kinects on the same truck? Remember this is pure speculation, only Amazon and Microsoft know when the next set of Kinects are expected to arrive, heck I bet Amazon doesn’t even know, hence why there are not pre-orders for the Kinect. If you read the above Kinect update, then you will see that there was some pre-order action going on last week for the 250GB Kinect Bundles at Amazon. Also, we had a stellar inventory of 4GB Kinect Bundles being offered from Amazon, that sold out in a slow enough manner that allowed a lot of you to get your hands on one. We hope this trend continues with a little more solid offerings on the 250GB Kinect Bundles instead of just pre-orders. The Nikon D7000 Body continues to elude us. While supplies of the Nikon D7000 Kit continue to remain in stock a variety of online retailers. While earlier this morning no one had stock of even the Kits, Best Buy was sure to replenish its stock by this afternoon. Kits from OneCall and Vann’s seem to have be cleaned out, but may return soon as well. But where are those Body Only D7000’s everyone wants? Looking for a Nikon D7000, then visit the tracker.
Both of these toys continue to have high demand with extremely low inventories. We think a lot of the retailers are pushing more inventory to their brick and mortar stores rather than to their online stores. This morning we added a new tracker for the NVIDIA GTX 580. Inventory on the latest release of video cards from NVIDIA seems to be holding up well compared to last year’s GTX 480 release. While there is a stock available from across the many lines of video cards manufacturers, stock is still limited and there is a chance with the holidays that it will all vanish. It is clear that last years limited supply was truly dependent on the the release of DirectX 11. This year the GTX 580 cards are just upgrades to those initial 480 cards. We added the tracker just to make sure we had our bases covered in case the card demand starts to out strip inventories.

I love it whenever stock becomes available from those retailers that refuse to bundle their merchandise. In the case of Kinect and the Xbox 360 this year, we have seen the Xbox 360 Kinect Bundle being bundled again with other items. I call these the Bundled Bundles and those that do it the Bundle Bundlers. Today was the first day we saw some relief from this trend thanks to both Amazon and Buy.com.

It has come time to start adding Kinect Bundles to the Kinect In Stock Tracker. There continues to be a lack of standard Kinects available as stock rarely shows up and the last big offering of the stand alone units being last Friday at Amazon. As such we have begun adding the first of the Kinect Bundles to the tracker.
GameStop has a couple of Kinect Bundles, Sports, Fitness and Dance. Each of these GameStop Kinect Bundles comes with Kinect and two extra games for the low price of $250.
Dell Home/Consumer has been offering a multitude of bundle options. They have bundles with one game, bundles with two games, and bundles with Live Gold Subscriptions for all of your online gaming, plus they have bundles with an extra game and live subscription.
We have been featuring the Walmart Bundle for some time since Walmart never even had the stand alone Kinect for sale online.
The time has come to start seriously thinking bundles if you want the Kinect for Christmas day. If history tells anything when it comes to hot video game items, bundles rule the world when demand seriously outstrips supply.

This past week we updated the Xbox 360 In Stock Tracker with the new Kinect Bundles. We noticed that inventories of specifically the 250GB Kinect Bundle have been very limited. So we added a bunch of store. We are also tracking the 4GB Kinect Bundle as well as the new Holiday Bundle. If you are looking for one of these, make sure to head over to this tracker and see what is available.
Microsoft Kinect is blazing hot right now and we don’t see inventories catching up anytime soon. Make sure to spread the word about NowInStock.net to others you may know that are looking for Kinect. Come this Friday, when shipments should be released to consumers at tons of Black Friday sales, the real question will be how many will remain available.
As far as our in stock tracker for Kinect, we had to remove Kmart this week. Kmart’s inventory is just plain atrocious and constantly is displaying the wrong information to users, which means they are displaying the imporper information to us as well. Enough is enough, so we deactivated Kmart.
Nikon D7000 continues to fly off the shelves at all retailers except Best Buy which has had a steady supply of the Lens Kit version. I guess people really want to save that tax or Best Buy’s inventory is endless.
In other news regarding the Nikon D7000 tracker, Ritz has been removed for gross misrepresentation of actual inventories. With their site showing both the Body Only and Lens Kit versions as being in stock this past week, only for users to find out this was totally false after their orders were placed. As a result, we are no longer reporting on the D7000 at Ritz, at least until this product cools off and the tracker turns into a price comparison tool. It is clear that Ritz can’t handle being on an in stock tracker like NowInStock.net.
As far as additions this week in the D7000, we have added 2 new retailers: Vann’s and Buy.com. Both of these are only tracking the Lens Kit version of D7000. Once they have product pages for just the Body, we will add these as well.
This weekend we added several new products under the Teacup Piggies line for Toys R Us. Also, we added Walmart to the tracker. Walmart’s selection is quite limited at this time, but I am sure inventory will start to show up sooner rather than later. If you are looking for Teacup Piggies, then head over to the tracker.
Squinkies appear to be slowing down. We think they might get the boot from the Hot Tracker section this week and moved to the standard trackers section. Tracking will continue on this item… so don’t worry, we are just going to slow it down. If the stock depletes and demand increases, then we will speed it back up.

I just got finished updating the Xbox 360 Elite Tracker to include the latest release from Microsoft, the new 250GB Elite slimed-down version of the console. Nice to see that Microsoft finally added the Wi-Fi to the console as well. No more need to drop $100 in order to have a wireless enable Xbox 360! At any rate, if you are having trouble locating this new model, since the first shipments of stock seem to have been rapidly consumed, then make sure you create an account, and add this item to your alerts. I will also be adjusting the frequency of which this tracker refreshes according to the demand. So, the more users we get signed up for these alerts, the further the dial will be turned up, so SPREAD THE WORD!
Just released at a variety of stores, the Nintendo DSi which has sold record numbers in Japan, is now available for Preoder at Amazon. The unit is coming out in two different colors, Matte Black and Matte Blue with a price tag of $169.99. The unit is projected to be released on April 5th, 2009.
This release date is much closer than the earlier anticipated release of Summer or Fall of 2009 here in the US. I wander if Nintendo pushed up the release date to take advantage of the strong dollar? Makes sense to me that you would choose to do this when you can clearly make more per unit now.

Its been over a month since I last posted an update, so I have decided to give everyone a little insight into what has been happening with NowInStock.net and the market.
It appears that Wii inventories have finally stabilized with Wii’s being in stock for some time now at a variety of online stores including Amazon, Best Buy, Gamestop, and even Radio Shack. The Wii has finally run its high-demand course!
As a result of the steady inventory stream, I have DISCONTINUED all TXT alerts for the Wii via Twitter. I suggest that all users stop “following” NowInStock within Twitter as I will begin using it for future site updates and no longer for Wii stock alerts. To unsubscribe from NowInStock on Twitter, login to your Twitter account and stop “Following” NowInStock.
Google Group NowInStockWiis subscribers will continue to receive Wii alerts, however, I have removed the sign up form from the web site as there is no longer a need to use this group.
Just like the Wii, Wii Fit inventories also continue to be steady, but a little less so than the Wii. WiiFit Twitter alerts will continue through the Twitter account NISWiiFit. Also, the WiiFit Google Group will continue to receive email updates, but like the Wii the sign up has been removed from NowInStock. You still sign up for FREE alerts, the alerts will just be distributed via my NowInStock.net alert system.
What has been taking the majority of my time over the past few months is my effort to formulate a price tracker of sorts. The initial focus of these price trackers is to monitor Amazon for price flucutations and determining when “new lowest prices ever” are reached, when “all-time lows” are hit, when “new preorders” are available for preordering, and to “view all preorders” for each specific gaming system. I am tracking a series of video game systems with this new type of price tracker including Wii, Xbox 360, PS3, DS, PSP, PS2, PC, and Mac games. Also, I have a main video games deals page where one can see the deals found each day. As you will see on the this page there is also an RSS feed for each specific system so that you can use your RSS readers and have the deals delivered autmatically daily.
I will be working on add more features as time progresses, however right now I think this service is providing very valuable information. On each specific game system page you will find a complete list of all games I could find for each respective system along with price indicators and price details by clicking the icons in the info column for each game.
Please send over your thoughts or wishes for this deal tracker. I would love to hear your input. Also, rest assured that price alerts and inventory alerts are going to be included once I flush out the system to handle these.
