New DS Lite Colors Added to Tracker

Wednesday, November 26th, 2008

Yesterday evening I was asked by Bryan to add the new Nintendo DS Lite models to the DS Lite tracker, and I gladly did. Two new colors being released this holiday season are the Limited Edition Ice Blue w/Brain Age and Carrying Case along with Limited Edition Red Mario w/New Super Mario Bros game. Both units are open for order right now at Amazon and will ship out on Friday, November 28th.

Later today I will also be adding the Metallic Silver & Black Guitar Hero On Tour Special Edition which only appears to be offered at Best Buy and Circuit City. By the time you finish reading this they might already be in the tracker.

As these units are officially released, I will monitor inventories to see if I need to add any additional stores to the tracker. If you prefer, sign up to receive FREE alerts when they are available in stock.

The Killers New Release Only $3.99

Tuesday, November 25th, 2008

Today Amazon is offering The Killers: Day & Age, their latest release which just released today, for only $3.99! While iTunes is selling the album for $11.99 but includes three bonus tracks, is it really worth $8 more for 3 tracks? For some I would imagine yes, but not for me. I will pay the $3.99 at Amazon. Once again, Amazon proves why they are still the place to buy music downloads.

Also, if you never picked up the original release The Killers: Hot Fuss, you can snag that one for $4.99!

Sears Wii Fit Inventory

Monday, November 24th, 2008

Sears is back to their old tricks again. I always hesitate in keeping the Wii Fit tracking on at Sears because their inventory system stinks. This is why all who are subscribed to the Wii Fit alerts for Sears or the Google Group received alerts this past weekend. This is also why I make note on the Wii Fit tracker under the Sears listing that states “Sears inventory system is NOT good. May result in error.” This is not a lie. Once again this weekend the tracker picked up stock being available at Sears for the Wii Fit, however in order to get one you will need to be really lucky.

My suggestion for the future Sears alerts is to sit on the pageand continue to keep trying by refreshing the web page. Hopefully after one of those refreshes you might get lucky and snag one.

If you think that my tracker doesn’t work, below is a cached snapshot of the page that I store every time stock is found to be in stock. Take a look for yourself to see what my tracker saw. Click on the image to enlarge.

Wii In Stock Everywhere…Wii Fit Not Quite Yet

Monday, November 17th, 2008

The times of the Nintendo Wii being out of stock seem to have come to an end. As of right now, it appears the Wii clearly has enough stock available at a variety of online stores including Amazon and Best Buy retaining inventory well over multiple days.

With the down economy resulting in deflation and the rising US Dollar value, I think Nintendo, after 2 years, has decided to finally flood the market here in the United States to capitalize on this increased dollar value.

Wii Fit on the other hand is another story. The Wii Fit in stock time has gradually increased over the last few weeks for sure. Recently Amazon had Wii Fit units in stock for over 4 hours with Best Buy matching that number. This is the longest time frame NowInStock.net has seen since the release of the unit. Is the down economy putting a damper on such purchases or are more units just available. I am sure in the next few weeks will get a better understanding for sure as more and more people truly being their holiday shopping. Will Nintendo do the same with Wii Fit as they have done with the Wii? Will inventory begin to flood stores? I remember reading that Nintendo was going to start pulling inventories from Europe and start pushing more units to the US. In a matter of a few weeks, the Wii Fit might also be very easy to find.

Subscribers of NowInStock.net Wii Mobile Alerts via Twitter:
As a result of these high inventory levels, there is no longer a need to utilize Twitter for mobile alerts. I will continue to monitor inventory closely, and if need be, I will turn the mobile alerts back on. Inventory will have to diminish, but this is something I do not envision this holiday season.

World Tour Band Kit for Xbox 360 In Stock; Wii Version Still Elusive

Thursday, November 6th, 2008

Have you been stumbling trying to find Guitar Hero World Tour Band Kit for the XBox 360 or the Wii? No need to continue the charades, NowInStock.net has the insight to find you this unit at retail price without all the hassles.

While Amazon and other big box retailers continue to sell out of the newly released Guitar Hero World Tour Band Kit, there is one place that is always good to check if stock is still available, RedOctane.com. Red Octane is the publisher of Guitar Hero and was a saving grace last holiday season when they had inventory and others didn’t. The best part is you pay retail price and get FREE Shipping. This is the major reason that NowInStock.net continues to track inventory status at Red Octane. Their inventory is unparalleled when it comes to Guitar Hero products. This doesn’t mean they do not run out of stock, just that they will have it more frequently than other stores. At the time of writing this post, Guitar Hero World Tour for Xbox 360 was still in stock, while the Wii version of the game continues to be elusive and was last seen in stock at Amazon on October 31st for a few minutes.

Check out NowInStock.net’s Guitar Hero World Tour Tracker for in stock avaialbility of all versions. If the unit you are looking for is not in stock, sign up for the FREE email alerts and as soon as stock is available we will shoot you an email.
